So, here is a story.
A friend of mine, who works in IT and got Masters in Math, now wonders on how to pursue his career.
For the last 3 years he has worked as consultant in IT company, doing some ERP installations on big industrial factories. That is the place where he got a good practical knowledge of accounting. He also got some promotion and now he is something like "project manager" or so. He has been dreaming of MBA for several years that I know him, and he should decide what would be the best way to pursue his education / career - getting MBA versus CPA. Both are time & money consuming endevours, outcome is not so obvious.
He is willing to go on with MBA, I'm not so sure that that is better way. I have been interviewing several MBA guys in last 2 years, and they got "no hire". To my thinking being a strong professional is much more attractive than average manager. Do you agree on that?
